2nd International Basrah Expo Opened the Gates of Basrah on April 22nd

International Basrah Exhibition was held in Basrah, the gate of the Middle East trade, in April 2011. Basrah Expo 2011 encompassed the building-construction and food sectors that the region demands for. The exhibition provided numerous opportunities to the investors in Iraq, which possessed 300 billion dollars of business volume in construction sector.
2nd International Basrah Expo welcomed over 145 International companies including 20 Turkish and 125 foreign companies enabled the investors and visitors to find reliable partners and make investments in the region. Airline companies also provided support for businessmen who travel between Basrah by increasing flights 3 times a week. This convenience enabled the Turkish and European businessmen to have access to this charming market with ease.
When compared with last year, there was an incredible change in the city of Basrah after the first International Basrah Expo that took place in April 2010. The first Basrah Expo organized by Elan Expo and Atilim Fairs, opened the gates of Basrah to International investors, manufacturers, building, construction and consulting companies. In a year, after the reconstruction projects began, the changes in Basrah construction sites were noticeable.
With increasing import rates, the trade potential of Iraq attracts investors’ attention. Being in the reconstruction period, Iraq attracts the attention of all middle east and European countries as a competitive unique market across the world.
Dependent on oil by 95%, economy of Iraq has also improved in agriculture, banking, textile, communication, construction, education, energy, cosmetics, medical supplies, health, professional services, oil and gas, tourism sectors and such.
